The double-grooved insulators developed by Kawaso Texcel are highly regarded for their excellent resistance to salt, dust and other contaminants damages.
Highly recommend our durable double-grooved insulators when replacing your existing lines! We design insulators that can be installed on both new lines and existing lines. You can use our insulators without changing your existing equipment.
The deep-grooved, double-layered structure of the insulator prevents staining and wetting of the inner part of the insulator, resulting in less leakage current. Its deep-groove, double-layered structure produces a minimal potential gradient, which helps reduce leakage current.
The insulator maintains its insulating capability against sudden environmental changes (rapid staining) such as typhoons.
Because the creepage distance of insulation is long, the surface insulation resistance is high even if it gets wet, and little decrease in insulation resistance. Unlike the multi-fold type, there is no need to use a large insulator with a working voltage one rank higher.
Because ceramics have a self-cleaning power, they are hard to get dirty. And because of the long creepage distance, our double-grooved insulators are highly resistant to salt damage and dust. Please check the test results below.
Due to the features of our insulators, the cost of maintenance and management of the device is reduced because the ceramic part of the insulator does not need to be cleaned to restore insulation performance. Normally, the metal fittings deteriorate, but the ceramic part does not. It has a longer life than resin insulators.

An aqueous solution containing 3% salt (salt concentration of seawater) and 4% dust (used to make salt adhere to the insulator surface)
The amount of spray is 1mm/cm² per minute (equivalent to the amount of rainfall during a typhoon).
