1877
Kawaso Texcel started off as a tableware manufacturing company in Seto City, a town located in Aichi Prefecture, famous for “crockery.” The company name “KAWASO” was derived from the founder`s name, Kawamoto Sokichi.
1910s - 1930s
Manufacturing electric insulators

1916
Started the production of insulators for telegraph poles.
Insulators later became the essential product for Kawaso Texcel today.
- 1921
Opened the Osaka branch. We expanded our sales channels in the Kansai region, targeting power and railway companies located in the western region of Japan.
1940s - 1960s
Started business with power supply industry

1945
Reorganized into Kawaso Electric Industry Co., Ltd.
- 1949
Entered the overhead line hardware market.
Besides insulators, we expanded our business into the power distribution materials market as a response to the rapid growth of the power infrastructure.
- 1957
Changed its name to Kawaso Material Industrial Co., Ltd.
- 1959
Moved our headquarter to Osaka.
- 1967
Established the Sakai Plant.
- 1968
Opened a sales office in Hiroshima-city.
Opened a branch office in Kashima-city.
1970s
Development in a new field of ceramics
- 1972
Established our distribution center of products in Sakai City.
Introducing a high voltage electrical test equipment to the Sakai Plant.
- 1973
Established our Tokyo branch office.

1974
Started manufacturing Insulators for the new transportation system
Developed a high double-skirt type insulator excellent in salt resistance.
Started the production of the sealed wire fuse.
At the time we had been using leaded solder to the cut-off portion is engaged in lead-free in 2011.
Kawaso-Texcel has developed lead-free wire fuses. One significant strength of our products is long service life. A strong fuse wire resistant to repeated stress was possible with our integral structure of the element portion created by eliminating the seams.

Established our Hiroshima sales office.

Newly entered the ceramics industry, taking advantage of our combined experience with ceramics.

Development of our metallizing technology

Started to produce Insulators for subway

Promoted the Tokyo branch office to the Tokyo sales office.

Developed our metallizing technology necessary for the air-tight joining of ceramics and metal.

Started to produce Tig welding products
- 1987
Started the manufacturing of power distribution for electronic equipment.
- 1988
Changed the company name to Kawaso Texcel Co., Ltd.
- 1989
Established a factory in Kure city, Hiroshima Prefecture.
1990s -
Since the 1990s - to the metal junction field.
- 1996
Supplied New transportation system insulator to Hong Kong International Airport.

Started the production of our brazing products.
We grew into a metal joining company and started manufacturing metal-joint products with our special ceramics and metal brazing technology.
Supplied New transportation system insulator to Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport.

Supplied New transportation system insulator to Singapore Changi Airport.
- 2002
Supplied New transportation system insulator to Miami International Airport in the United States.
- 2003
ISO9001 certification obtained.
- 2005
ISO14001 certification obtained.
- 2006
Supplied New transportation system insulator to Incheon International Airport in Korea.
- 2008
Expanded our Sakai plant.
- 2009
Started manufacturing sapphire glass window products in.
- 2014
Established a liquid cold plate laboratory in our Hiroshima plant.
